The WFAA course is situated in the idyllic settings of the Fonmon Castle Estate in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan. The course is managed and maintained by Llantwit Major Archers and with the kind permission of Sir Brook Boothby.

Reckoned by many to be the most difficult and challenging field archery course in the UK, Fonmon presents a hefty challenge for the adventurous archer. To keep the course challenging, it has been re-laid several times, most recently during 2009.

Fonmon Castle

Fonmon is the venue for monthly classification shoots, national and international tournaments and has been the frequent venue of both the Welsh & Open Championships and the UK & Ireland Championships. Llantwit Major often hold open classification and other shoots at the Fonmon course. For details of forthcoming shoots, please visit the club website.
