Hay on Wye course was created in 2005 through a partnership between the WFAA and the course owners, Zenith Archers. The aim of creating this course was to help establish Zenith as the main regional club for
mid-wales and in so doing, to develop field archery in that area. This course affords Zenith Archers the facilities to develop their archers at all levels in mid-Wales.

Zenith holds classification shoots at the course beginning between April and September and hosted its first tournament in July 2007 when it was the venue for the Owain Glyndwr Shoot, the 3rd leg of the WFAA Field Masters Tour. Classification shoots are often held which are open to all members of IFAA affiliated bodies. Please see the Diary page for details of dates and times.

The course consists of 14 targets and a practice butt and the terrain is a mixture of flat and gentle slopes. The course is situated in mature woodlands belonging to Whitney Court, a country house.

Directions to the Course:

The course is on the A438 Hereford/Brecon road, at Whitney Court. When approaching from the Hay direction the entrance to the court is a quarter or a mile past the Rydespence Inn, and is clearly marked.

When entering Whitney Court, turn immediately right and park by the lawn on the right-hand side. Please park thoughtfully as other vehicles will be using the area.
NOTE: for those of you using SATNAV, the postcode is HR3 6HT

Archers are reminded that this course is only open at scheduled shoot times and access to the course at all other times is strictly at the discretion of Zenith Archers.

Enquiries relating to shoots, the course or Zenith Archers must be made to Mike Lawson.

A full list of shoots can be found on the Diary Page.
