Saturday 21st of April 2007 - Welsh & Open Championships Evening Meal
As has become traditional, the evening of Day 1 of the Welsh & Open Championships will include a meal for competitors and their friends and family. The meal is an informal affair, the aim being for archers to meet up, eat dinner, chat and have a relaxed evening after completion of shooting on the Saturday.
Last year's meal was held at The Green Dragon, a local inn which is famous for good food and authentic atmosphere. The family that run the pub are members of nearby Llantwit Major Archery Club and they have once again offered us a 3 course menu at a special price. After the success and good feedback we received after last year's dinner, The Green Dragon was the only realistic choice for us!
The menu is priced as follows:
3 course meal for adults - £12.95
Main course and ice cream for children £5.95

Sauteed Garlin Mushrooms
Traditional Prawn Cocktail
Main Course
Roast Welsh topside of beef with
Yorkshire pudding
Poached salmon served with a white wine and leek sauce
Pan fried supreme of chicken with a red wine and mushroom sauce
Homemade aubergine and goats cheese bake
All served with roast potatoes and a selection of fresh vegetables
A selection of hot and cold deserts will be available
If you wish to attend the meal you will be asked to pre-order at registration on Saturday morning
All meals are to be paid for directly at The Green Dragon.
